Dental Assistant Apprenticeship

This apprenticeship, approved by the Department of Labor and the South Dakota State Board of Dentistry, will prepare you for one of the fastest growing health care positions – Dental Assisting. This course will familiarize the student with all areas of pre-clinical dental assisting and provide training in the professional skills required of dental assistants. This two-semester course has a 144-hour classroom and 1500-hour chair-side requirement. Employment by a member of the Southeast District of the SD Dental Society is a pre-requisite for registration in this program.
