The Federal Clean Air Act requires anyone who maintains, services, repairs or disposes of appliances containing refrigerant be certified in proper handling technique. Failure to comply with this Federal regulation can cost both the technician and the company up to $25,000 per day, per violation. This class includes a review of the study manual and the EPA-certified test administered by a qualified test administrator.
