This 36 hour course will introduce concepts, techniques, and procedures necessary to facilitate a basic functional understanding of AutoCAD 2009. The objects of this course are to equip the student with fundamental skills in the application of CAD, facilitate the understanding of terminology and commands, acquaint the student with recommended operating techniques to become a proficient AutoCAD user, and develop a foundation of understanding that will allow the student ot promote to intermediate AutoCAD skill levels.

This is a fast paced workshop for current AutoCAD users. The course will cover dimensioning, working with model space/paper space and plotting. The user will learn to create and use blocks and templates. An introduction to attributes will be covered. Before taking this course, students should be familiar with personal computers and the use of a keyboard and mouse. Furthermore, this course assumes knowledge of beginning AutoCAD features. AutoCAD 2009 will be used.
